Hi guys,
before i provided a link to block Gtalk in Gmail . now this url changed, and the new URL to block Google Talk in Gmail is : http://chatenabled.mail.google.com
so add this URL in a URL Set and create a Deny rule for this URL Set and ur users wont be able to chat inside Gmail.
HTH

This link only prevents the gtalk in gmail. I need the signature for the Gtalk client. Right now I'm inspecting my network with ethereal to capture its packets but I'm not hopeful. Last time when I tried to find the MSN Live beta signatures ethereal showed me different signatures then the actual ones. Do you or someone else know how to prevent the Gtalk client ?
I found the signature and managed to block Gtalk clients voice and file transfer features. But there's a catch. This signature can't block the messaging capabilities of the client. You have to block messaging via site blocking (https://talk.google.com:443).
I'm aware of the right signatures for Messenger. If you read those replies carefully you'll see my former posts there. What I tried to say was, that the signatures that ethereal (or any other sniffer) finds sometimes don't block that content on the ISA. So, it's suprising to see that the signature for Google Talk is working.
Btw, you still haven't understood what I was trying to block. I'm not trying to block Gtalk which works on the webpage. I'm trying to stop the independent Gtalk client. And please read my second reply on this topic before posting any suggestions. (I mean I already solved the situation. So don't post any suggestions to solve the problem.)
