hi,
i just received new certificate from verisign.
i used following url to import/export the certificate but still isa server listener is giving error "to select certificate there must be an identical certificate installed..."

http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/ISA-Firewall-Publishing-OWA-RPC-HTTP-Single-IP-Address-Part2.html

please let me know what is wrong in the article ?
are there any chances that the certificate from verisign might be corrupt ?

any help appreciated

i also tried restarting of isa firewal services.

when i import the certificate on the personal store of isa server, there are 3 certificates listed. One is actual common name certificate, another is from verisign , and third is also from verisign.
i generally move the verisign certificate to the trusted root authority store leaving only common name certificate in the personal store.

i am sure something is wrong.

also there are many conflicting articles on the web as of what is the right procedure to atleast export the certificate from the owa server.

thanks in advance

The machine certificate goes in the machine personal certificate store.

The CA certificate goes in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities machine certificate store.

All articles I've done on this site make this clear.

thanks
i did everything that the article states and Microsoft also confirmed that the certificates are in their respective store (also as stated by you).
Root certificate is in truster store and webmail certificate is on personal store and intermediate certificate is in Intermediate store.

Even then the listener is unable to list that certificate. It only lists the certificate that was once configured (given by my own CA) but not the commercial certificate that i just bought and exported from the owa server

any thoughts ?

thanks very much

Hi Yatin,

Try running the ISA Firewall BPA on your machine. It does a good job at checking certificate status.

HTH,
Tom
