Hi,

I have installed ISA Server 2006 standard edition (Trial Version) in guest computer of Virtual Server 2005 R2.  The ISA machine is connected to Domain but no server role is configured except ISA.  I have applied the default network template of Edge Firewall.

The ISA machine have two interfaces Internal and External.  Internal interface has IP address of internal network and the internal DNS (No Gateway) whereas the external interface has IP of the external network (i.e. separate network ) and DNS to the router connected to DSL modem.

I am able to ping the server from DC and server before installation of ISA server, however ping is failed after installation.

Internal Network
IP addressing scheme: 10.190.105.0 10.190.105.255 /24
IP address of the internal network interface of ISA server is 10.190.105.7/24

External Network
IP addressing scheme: 192.168.2.0 192.68.2.255 /24
IP address of the external interface of  ISA server is 192.168.2.240/24
IP of router to DSL Modem is 192.168.2.1/24

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Your External NIC should not has a DNS entry on it , only the Internal NIC, check this : http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/Configuring_ISA_Server_Interface_Settings.html

as for the ping , By Default everything is blocked through ISA , so after u  install it u should start opening only the required traffic .

Ping can be enabled from the System Policy, the ICMP rule.

System Policy # 10.
