I have transisioned from SBS to a standard MS Server domain. I have about 100 users and nine servers. The old SBS server needs to be retired, it is still funcioning as the ISA server, forward exchange server, DHCP and file server. In the interest of reducing server sprawl I would like the new server to provide ISA 2006 in a three leg configuration with the perimeter servers - Exchange 2003 forward server and a web services server on the same hardware as the ISA server using MS VS 2005 R2 or some other method. Does this make sense or should I just add the additional server for the perimiter services?

Hi Ralph,

Definitely deprovision the SBS box to do something else. The ISA Firewall should be a dedicated firewall device and not be exposed to potentail security issues from other co-located services.

HTH,
Tom
