ISA 2004 & Surfcontrol - 7.Mar.2007 11:10:19 PM

hi there,

I have 2x ISA 2004 Standard (win2003-OS) HP appliances in place
with Surfcontrol v5.x installed on both. They are deployed as ISA
Proxy/cache servers only.

The configurations are identical and when we installed them they did
not have surfcontrol installed and also the rule set was different.

ISA1 there appears to be a problem with the integrated authentication
to some particular sites where if you try and browse to these sites
you are prompted to authenticate to the ISA1 server. I performed a
packet capture and found that when browsing to the sites in question I
found that a HTTP 1.0 header was being sent and the integrated NTLM
authentication credentials were being truncated or sometimes only the
first letter of the domain, pc name, username etc were being sent
through in the Auth packet. This pointed towards SP2 for ISA2004. This
was applied and they are still no better off.

We have tried different versions of IE 6.0, 6.1 and 7 still no result.
We have turned http 1.1 options in browser security on and off and
also disabled integrated auth at the browser- still no result.

This is where it is at currently. All help is appreciated.
