Hi All,

This morning  two of FW clients get disabled when they try to browse internet or opening their outlook. The other clients do not have any problems. I did check those two clients for virus but I couldn't detect any. Can some one guide me? My ISA is 2004 on Windows 2000 Advanced Server and it is a front end server.

Thanks & Regards,

Zac.

Hi Royh,

The name resolution is okay with those clients. Let me explain the problem:- the fw works fine with them. But the moment they try the outlook or web browsing, the FW gets disabled. Any idea about the reason?

Thanks & Regards,

Zac

Hi elmajdal & royh,

The clients & ISA are in the same domain. I did read the article of MS, posted by royh and entered the outlook settings in the Application list of FW in the ISA Server. Moreover I checked with FWctool pack on those clients and passed all the tests. It is very strange that still they get disconnected from FW when they try outlook and web browsing. I even tried to reinstall the FW and reconfigured the out look but still no luck.

Thanks & Regards,

Zac

Hi Zac,

Do the following :

enter the following : \\isaserver

where isaserver is the name of your isa server machine

If requested for credentials, enter the user credentials and tell us if this worked with you.

Hi elmajdal,

So nice to know that you too are in Kuwait. Sorry for the delay in replying you. I did the same which you asked for and after entering the user credentials it worked until the client tried outlook. The Fwc got disabled again. I upgraded the ISA 2004 into 2006 after testing it for a couple of weeks and upgraded the FWC also. Now all the clients are working fine. But still it is too strange to me why only one client got disabled with ISA 2004? Any way no more troubles with ISA 2006.

Thanks and regards

Zac
