Dear all,

I have a broadband router for the PPPoE to my ISP, and I have a Windows Server 2003 with only 1 LAN Adapter and serveral XP clients in the same 192.168.0.0 network.

I have tried to set the ISA 2006 on Windows 2003 with the "Single Adapter" Template in order to set it as a proxy server for my internal network, however, it never succeeded, the message on the clients are all "Error 12206: The destination cannot be reached". I have tried to set the LAN-side IP of my broadband router in the "Upstream Server" box but the same error appeared. Also, the "Default Gateway" setting of the Network Connection (in windows but not ISA) was set to the router's IP as well.
Even the server itself was unable to connect to the Internet even if proxy settings were not set in Internet Explorer.

Moreover, I have tried to switch between "NAT" and "Route" mode of the "Internal" network in the "Network Rules" tab but it failed again.

Can you please help?

Many Thanks!

reinstall isa in plain proxy mode
ISA does not need to double nat a network
Create an access rule to allow all http https from your local network
point your browsers to use the ip address of your isa proxy port 8080
