Hi all,

I have been trying to setup a rule which allows a client machine access through ISA to an external machine using RDP and have been unsuccessful so far. I'm running ISA 2004 in an Edge Network. I have been able to setup rules for VPN access (External to Internal), Web Proxy access to the Internet (Int to Ext), and Web Access for my local web server (Int to Int).

I have tried setting up a rule to allow RDP from  Internal to External using all protocols in an outbound state with no luck.

Any suggestions from the gurus out there???

Many thanks in advance.

Should work. Is this a DSL line? Maybe an MTU issue.

It's a full T-1 line and the ISA server is between a Cisco router and the local LAN. The Cisco router is provided by AT&T which provides access to the Internet cloud. The ISA server is basically performing the job of Firewall, packet routing, etc. to the local LAN.

Please let me know if more details are needed.

Is the Firewall client installed on the client? If so, disable is and see what happens.

Also, what do you see in the ISA Firewall's log files for these connections?

Are you sure there isn't an access-list on the Cisco router for outbound traffic?

And have you checked you can RDP from another location?

Regards,

Dennis
