I recently took over as the network administrator and I'm in the process of applying all the latest service packs. Can anyone tell me what service pack I am currently running. In the MMC it says ISA 2004 4.0.2163.213. I tried to reference this number but I can't find anything.

Hi,
From the Add/Remove also, on the upper right side, click where it says: Show Updates and then the Service Packs installed will be displayed under Microsft ISA Server 2004

I am also having a problem installing SP3 on an ISA 2004 EE server. I did download the proper Service pack, I triple checked that . Everytime I install the sp it will fail and then the Firewall service fails to start. Only way to get it working again is reinstall SP2. I tried all the suggestions offered by Jim Harrison and still the same problem. I do not have any Management Console open, I make it a point to reboot the server before any kind of updating.
Here is an excerpt from my log file of the install. If anyone would like the entire log file, I can email it upon request. Hopefully one of the many experts here can help get this service pack installed.
MSI (c) (28:9C) [18:54:08:473]: Product: Microsoft ISA Server 2004 - Update 'Microsoft ISA Server 2004 Service Pack 3' could not be installed. Error code 1603. Additional information is available in the log file c:\sp3.log.
after installing the latest service pack3 to ISA2004 manually everything seems to work perfectly except my scheduled "daily report" email confirmation has suddenly stopped sending. The report runs perfectly and is viewable in console. Strange error logged in event viewer eventid 21141 in viewer email signaling report " daily report" was generated could not be sent use the source location 1200.525.4.0.2167.887 to report the failure
no changes to anything system or domain wise have been made by me that I am aware of. mail system working perfectly ok
A very odd error and I'm at a loss to troubleshoot this, any ideas please
Ok, the missing RDP functionality in regard to the ISA server itself was starting to annoy me, so I researched it a little more.
Actually, I was inclined to think this was more of a Server 2003 SP 2 issue, since this was installed prior to ISA 2004 SP 3 (an issue suggested by Phillip Windell elsewhere) - I did test that things were working before installing ISA SP 3, but just not the RDP.
Turns out the reason for the missing RDP was a misconfigured internal network in the ISA server - out of laziness I used a broad subnet mask to cover my internal network, using the correct subnet masks solved the RDP issue (thanks to spouseele for pointing this out in a different context).
