Hi Folks

I have a list of sites our users are not allowed to go to for various reasons from our network but I have found a growing number of our users know about Proxy servers and are using them to by pass our block lists. Does any one have a large list of know proxy servers I would use to block access to these servers. I already use the Block domain list provided in one of Toms great articles but need to be able to block all these proxy servers. At the moment I am using webmonitor to find them as they are used but this is time consuming.

Cheers Neil

Hi Folks

Well I have the proxy list in XML format but I have found there are thousands of proxy sites and the list I have in xml format is but a small subsection of them. I have managed to find a few sites that give proxy lists but do not fancy typing them in one by one. Has any one got a util for making URL and Domain destination sets from raw text files???

Cheers Neil

HI

I am also facing this problem.
I have made some restrictions but still As you know that proxy websites are in thousands ..Any ways

YOu can block some specific words in the HTTP Filtersing of RULES.

Proxy, Proxi, Proxies, Proxyes, Pr0xy
Anonymous, an0nym0us , anonymous-surfing, anonymous-browsing,anonymity

cgi-proxy, nph-proxy,

and don't forget to block redirect.keljob.com (it is not a proxy website but it can route the traffic like if you block orkut.com and a user type it in this way orkut.com.redirect.keljob.com then he can access those websites which you blocked.
An you can check isascripts.org

Hey,

u can get Surf Control or WebSernse and they will do the job by your, that have built in categories that u can choose from, and the Clever Agent, which will analyze each website accessed by your users, and will locate it under the right category.

or u can have these ready made lists, as shown above, and start filling them with any new proxy website u find.

as for :
quote:

YOu can block some specific words in the HTTP Filtersing of RULES.

Proxy, Proxi, Proxies, Proxyes, Pr0xy
Anonymous, an0nym0us , anonymous-surfing, anonymous-browsing,anonymity
