Domain Name Set :

As i know we can use this

For HTTP / HTTPS / FTP protocols you can always use domain name sets
       NON HTTP / HTTPS / FTP protocols.

I have given following site through domain set.

Name    Action protocol                    from          to    
web       allow  http/https/pop3/smtp   internal   Allow domain sites (From Domain Name Set list)

I want to open following sites. www.geojit.com,rmol.geojitonline.com,gcc.geojit.net,secure.geojit.net

if I am putting entry  in "Allow domain Sites " like *.*geojit*.* will it work..?

I have tried not working. it works only when i entered like this.

*.geojit.com
*.geojitonline.com
*.geojit.net


But why *.*geojit*.* entry could not summirize above three entries...pls guide..

If you specify a wildcard asterisk, it can appear only at the start of the domain name, and can be specified only once in the name.

So *.*geojit*.* is invalid and won't work. and *.geojit.com; *.geojitonline.com; *.geojit.net are valid entries so will work.

I'm not sure what further I can add - thats just the way domain name sets work with ISA. You can only use one asterisk (*) at the beginning of the name. So for your example you would have to add the 3 entries to cover the sites.

Allow in url set:
http://www.geojit.com/*
https://rmolgeojitonline.com/*

Allow in Domain set:
*.geojit.*
*.geojitonline.com

pls let me know are these your any application links
gcc.geojit.net & secure.geojit.net ?

IT Eng. is right *.*geojit*.* will not work. you can check in your ISA server itself.
