I'll be purchasing ISA 2006 for a <100 user network and I'm looking for feedback on web filtering add-ons.  Looking for VPN access, OWA publishing and logging/control over user web browsing.  Virus scanning downloads would be a bonus.  Websense, Surfcontrol and GFI Webfilter seem to be the top candidates.

Option 1: Celestix MSA2000i ISA 2006 = $2600.  The Websense Enterprise license at $2650 needs to be purchased each year along with a 36 month 100 user license at $5250 for a 3 yr total of $13,150.  (At least thatís how a salesman explained the quote.)

Option 2: Celestix MSA2000i ISA 2006 = $2600.   SurfControl Enterprise Protection Suite License (one time fee) = $1250.  Annual subscription license = $1550 for a 3 yr total of $5,395.  Review at http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/Review-SurfControl-Web-Filter-ISA-Server-2004.html

Option 3: According to http://www.gfi.com/pricing/pricelist.aspx?product=WEBMON GFIís 3 yr costs = $1900 base product + $240 x 2 yrs for AV updates = $2,380.  Add a Celestix ISA applicance at approx $2600 for a total of $4,980.  Review at http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/Product-Review-GFI-WebMonitor30.html

To further complicate things down the road http://www.websense.com/global/en/PressRoom/PressReleases/PressReleaseDetail/index.php?Release=0706041418 indicates that Websense is purchasing SurfControl.

Some posts on the GFI forums indicate that turning on the site ratings significantly slows down browsing and that the Yahoo Safesearch DB isnít as accurate as it should be.  Any comments from those running the products?

Thanks,
Jeff
