I have an ISA standard 2006 which is join domain. Id like to use user from the AD run the ISA services intead of Local system. after i changed the log on user from local to AD user. the result is, its cant start the ISA services.
yes it doesnt work. Do you have any suggestion on this issue? because i need them run by a domain user. If not, i think it will be ok to run on local system.
i have set the service account as an AD account. The service starts no problem and the proxy acts (almost) normal. Transparent proxy (ntlm) authentication works fine in IE (6), but not in Firefox.
If i change the service account to 'Local System' everything works fine.
The reason that i had changed the service account to an AD account was for the recommended configuration for remote SQL logging. If we run the ISA service under Local System, ISA is not able to log to a remove SQL server unless we specify the domain account in the dialog box. something i'd prefer not to do.
Not quite what you had explained - 'it doesn't work, so don't try it'. If we didn't have Firefox, we wouldn't have even noticed.
