We have installed ISA 2006 with 2 NiCs. I have allowed all internet to External network. that means any body can goto net.

The problem is if we only configure Proxy settings in Internet Explorer, users are not able to browse, it shows done but page is not displayed.

But when we install firewall client, the browseing works. But if we enter proxy address in the IE, it stops working .

Any idea what could be wrong ????????????

Does the Access rule in ISA used for "web" access to the Internet require authentication? (Look at the "Users" Tab of the rule, what's listed?)

Have you enabled Web Proxy in your ISA Server ??

1. No, it doesn't require attentication.
2. The web proxy is enabled.

i couldn't handle it so , i had to roll back to ISA 2000 (off course wasn't automatic, had to do it manually)

wow !! that fast !

next time keep your ISA 2000 in production and install ISA 2006, and when u r done with your testing, then you can remove your production firewall.
