Hi
Thanks for reading

I have a small problem in having SSL comunication with my WebServer that is not running IIS
its running another Version of WebService Software that doesn;t support SSL

I need to publish this server and make the communication between the Client and the ISA Server encrypted 128 bit and between the ISA and the local server not encrypted as its not supported
can I do this

Thanks

Yep, just configure the ISA web listener to use HTTPS, but configure bridging to use HTTP on the port that you need (likely 80).

Note this is not security best practice, but should solve your problem...

Cheers

Hi and thanks for the reply

I know this is not the security best practice but
The Web server I have that is running the swebservice  dont support HTTP and there is no WAY to change as its running PHP compiler not ASP so I can use IIS
If I enable the HTTPS on the Lister Bride is this going to encrypte the traffic from the Client to the ISA
and the password wont be sent clear text
and is there any need for certificate or not

Thanks

Yes, putting an SSL cert on ISA will encrypt the traffic from client to ISA as it passes over the Internet.

You need a least a cert on ISA, and then use use HTTP to your web server.

HI and sorry for the delay in the reply

I have a problem
I have the websites are
Mail.MyDomain.com
and www.MyDomain.com

I usually and when request a certificate from the IIS submit the request I copy the generated text and place it on the local Certificate server

but now ..
how can I assign a certificate and generate a certificate for these domains.
and how can I generate a certificate for *.MyDomain.com (if possible)

Note that the webservice running on my service does not supported SSL its not an IIS

Thanks
