Tom, I enjoy your articles immensely. Your trek thru SBS was great, except you didn't continue it for whatever reason. Any chance on finishing it? It's comforting to know that I wasn't the only one who made assumptions and clicked the wrong things.
I got so much negative feedback from the SBS MVP community that I chucked the article series. It just wasn't worth my time having to explain to SBS MVPs why 1+1=2 on a regular basiss :)
Who cares what anyone else thinks. It was a great informative series. They've never tried publishing an article on an install from the box, heck 1/2 the time I don't think they get out of the box or even try to peer over the edge to see what else is out there. There usually isn't much here specifically geared to SBS but it still applies the same. You finally try to do some good and some one pees in the sandbox? Just graphically tell them they are No. 1. I love my SBS boxes and get great info and help from the SBS community but this attitude wasn't right on their part. I'm trying to figure out now how my girls are sneaking AIM chat through ISA with out it logging it and bypassing all the deny's and rules. Naturally I'm reading up on your articles regarding this. Keep up the good work on this site.
Thanks for the kind words! I might pick it up again in the future, although I'm trying to focus on the new Windows Essential Busienss Server and getting good with that -- it's SBS on steroids and crank! :)
If it's running on the 2008/vista platform its going to be another resource/service hog. Oh ,for the days of 3.11 wfw. Good luck with it, wear a wig and protect your real hair.
