Hi Need help on blocking web sites and messengers on ISA 2006. I have a Windows 2003 server without a domain and with ISA 2006. Installed the firewall client application on a XP machine. I tried disabling the "Proxy Filter" in HTTP protocol so that users don't need to be under proxy but should still not be able to use blocked sites and messengers. It didn't work as the HTTP blocking goes away from the access rule. Can someone help bypassing proxy but still be able to block content.

I'm having a similiar problem. I would like to block, www.playboy.com , so I have a domain set with: *.playboy.com However, in ISA, this doesn't handle playboy.com by itself, so do I need to add this as well, or is there a tweak to make *.site.com include site.com. This is causing me major grief using urlblacklists I download. Thanks, Derek

another followup. I have multiple domains I'm blocking: pandora.com, pandora.net, pandora.tv I tried *pandora* for a domain set, but this did not work. How would I do this, would *pandora.* work, I haven't tried this yet.

Hi Elan, Is there a "default" or "suggested" list of sites one can use when blocking sites?
