Is it possible to ping a server that sits behind an ISA 2006 server? If so how?
I have an ISA 2006 server I inherited and need to open ping to the outside world. The server is configured with 4 public IP addresses (the 4th one I just added, ending in .164). I have tried creating a rule that allows ping to my servers internal IP address ( but can not seem to ping it. I thought about creating a static rule for this rule but read that static NATs are not allowed in ISA. The server is also my MS Exchange server.
Any help much appreciated

I would imagine you would have to do some type of NAT to translate it. I am confused why you would even want that. You could always verify connection especially with exchange by doing a telnet with port 25 to verify smtp connection. That gives you more information then a regular ping imo.
