Hi, I have been testing a split firewall client /web proxy configuration.

Basiclly, having 2 upstream isa 2006 servers that have an internet connection, each reside on a different subnet. 10 downstream isa 2006 servers that use the upstream servers for primary and standby.

The firewall client settings on the downstream server subnets are connfigured to use the upstream ipaddress. The upstream servers firewall client websettings are only set to autodiscovery.

So basiclly, when a client does a wpad for its firewall client configuration (wspad.dat) locally(downstream server) it uses the address of the firewall client configured (which is the upstream server) then it uses the upstream servers wspad.dat configuration to set its configuration.
The browser is configured with 'automaticlly detect settings' therefore using its local isa servers , and when doing winsock stuff it uses the upstream isa directly.

I was just wondering if anyone had a simular configuration?
