pk -> Site to Site Hop Count (30.Apr.2008 2:44:43 PM)

Hiyas - Able to access PIX from ISA 2006 and back just fine via Site 2 Site. When im on any workstation behind the ISA accessing the remote subnet the HOP Count is always 10.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>tracert 192.168.0.9

Tracing route to concord.softlanding.com [192.168.0.9]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms ABCSASRV1 [192.168.178.254]
2 * * * Request timed out.
3 * * * Request timed out.
4 * * * Request timed out.

Trace complete.

When im on the workstation behind the PIX and doing a tracert back to the workstation under ISA Server 2006, it's one HOP.

C:\Documents and Settings\kim>tracert 192.168.178.65

Tracing route to 192.168.178.65 over a maximum of 30 hops

1 * 120 ms 121 ms 192.168.178.65

Trace complete.

How could i minimize the HOP count going to PIX subnet from ISA subnet?

Thanks!

Hmmn.. dunno about be able to provide a candid answer to this one here.
Suggest running Network Monitor or Ethereal/Wireshark on the ISA server in the middle and trace the actual packets to see what's going on.

Sorry cant provide a more useful answer but this is something quite specific to your environment.
