harperwill -> Frontpage updates through ISA 2004 (19.May2008 8:47:45 PM)

I'm planning on publishing a web site for Frontpage updates through ISA 2004,  inside our protected network (2 NICs) through ISA 2004.  This site will not be publicly available, but the source code for the actual public site which is hosted at a hosting site.

I'll need several people to have access to the site via Frontpage 2002 server extensions and Frontpage 2003 client.

For additional security-by-obscurity, I'm planning on using a host-header name that is not published on any DNS and using hosts files on the clients, and an odball port number.

Are there any land-mines that I should be aware of?  Is there a step-by-step published anywhere for configuring ISA 2004 for publishing for Frontpage?

Thanks

Hi Will,

I don't recall any issues, other than it might not work [:D]

I know for outbound access to FP sites, we've had to configure those sites for Direct Access, or at least anonymous access.

If you find any issues, let us know and I'll blog on them.

Thanks!
Tom

Thanks for responding!!

"configure those sites for Direct Access"  I found your tutorial for doing this with ISA 2000, but can't find anything about ISA 2004.

Can you please drop me a link?

Some extra considerations with ISA 2004 SP2+ and ISA 2006.
