gjja -> forms authentication now basic authentication (24.May2008 1:04:26 AM)

I am successfully publishing my only Exchange 2003 OWA server with ISA2006 to the internet. The documentation (TechNet) recommended that forms authentications must me switch of, which I did. The problem is now, that my internal users are not getting the forms authentication interface as published by ISA but gets challenged with a Basic Authentication pop-up window. My question is, do I have to configure Exchange with a second http virtual server and enable forms authentication, or what do I have to do, if we want to have forms authentication for the internal users as well.

The best way to provide internal users with FBA is to:

- Amend the listener to listen on an internal IP address as well external
- Assign the certificate to this internal address
- Modify DNS so that internal OWA requests resolve to this internal address
