nelly123 -> Publish OWA with ISA - HELP : ( (24.May2008 6:42:50 AM)

I've been reading alot of article on the net and I'm confused.

We currently have a single E2K3 server.
it's doing the usual mailbox duties and provide OWA, port 443 is opened on
our existing firewall

I have just installed Single NIC ISA2006 on our DMZ network, web proxy is
enabled on the ISA.

my aim is publish OWA using ISA2006 with third party CA

I read the following article, it mention require front end server.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-nz/library/bb794845(en-us).aspx

Is it possible to publish OWA with only 1 single Exchnage server? and how? most of the web site said I need front end and backend server

Thanks

Nelly ;-)

Hi
Why don't you use your private certificate Authority CA, which will serve your client needs.
I Think..

Yes you need backend - frontend configuration for securing your internal mail.

It is definitely possible to publish OWA with only 1 single Exchange server. ISA already had wizard for it (new mail server publishing rule wizard).
Using front & back end is more secure way.
