ThorstenK -> Publish Exchange with Single NIC ISA, in the LAN (29.May2008 8:59:39 AM)

Hello,

i have a single NIC ISA 2006 that is located in the LAN and need to publish Exchange with OWA and EAS.

Environment:
Astaro Firewall with 2 external IPs
forwarding external IP2 Port 443 to the internal ISA (192.168.1.50)

I followed "Publishing Exchange Server 2003 with ISA Server 2006" http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb794845.aspx but i cant create a listener for an external IP as the ISA does not have one. So i set it to the internal network an my IP 192.168.1.50

In the logging i see
Dest.IP:192.168.1.50 Dest.Port: 443 Action:Dropped Rule:"empty" Client-IP:"my Internet client" SourceNetwork:External Dest.Netw:Local Host
As the blocking Rule is empty maybe a System Policy prevents the ISA to get the packet as they apply before any other policies. But i cant find anything there.

Please Help
Thanks Thorsten

Put a second NIC on the ISA Firewall, then connect the external interface of the ISA Firewall to the Astaro DMZ, and then connect the internal NIC to the internal network.

HTH,
Tom
