Hi!

I have a Rule for my Terminal Server Remote Desktop from Internet on port 8888. Many times i am unable to connect to my Terminal Server from Internet and get the error message "Unable to Connect........."

I also have Exchange Server 2007 Published on my ISA 2006.

Is this a common problem with Terminal Server Publishing?

Thanks!

Have you checked what's happening in the logging within ISA when that happens? When I'm into troubleshooting like that I turn on the live logging and then using another computer which I connectd the a external connection and from there making my test etc. to see what happens and when it fails and hopefullt getting a clue of why it fails.

Port 8888 is not likely to be open if you are on remote networks that block non-web traffic as 8888 is not one of the "common" web protocols used (unlike 80, 8080, 8000, 443 etc). Hence, if remote networks have well configured firewall and proxy servers, it is likely that they will be blokcing outbound connections to 8888.

This may be the problem?

Cheers

JJ
