asaunders -> FWC + VPN (external users) (5.Jun.2008 6:13:19 AM)

Hi
got a little issue [:)]
We have some laptop users with the firewall client installed. When they leave the office and use their own broadband at home to VPN (cisco) in the firewall client picks up the ISA (2006) server and updates their web proxy settings, then when they terminate the vpn connection they still have the ISA web proxy setting and they get very upset because they cant connect.
Is there a way of getting the FWC to release/restore the web proxy setttings?
Or would it be easier just to turn it off and remove it?
thanks for your thoughts in advance!

Why don't you use WPAD instead at your office?
You configure WPAD in your DHCP and DNS so that the clients recive the web proxcy cindifuration settings automatically when they are within your corporation (internal netwrok). When they are outside they don't get any proxy settings.

Chech this out for furhter configurations: http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/Configuring-DHCP-DNS-automatic-discovery.html
