SyberWizard -> Received IP from Published server shows ISA IP? (23.Jun.2008 4:13:21 PM)

I have multiple mail domains that I have published via ISA 2006.  They have unique assigned IP addresses.  The mail received on the other end however, report being Received from the ISA IP instead of the assigned mail server IP.  That does cause problems with some firewalls.  Is this WAD or have I missed a step?

Hi,

thatīs because when you send e-mails ISA is the device responsable to NAT the private IP of your mail server to a public one. Configure your DNS A record with ISA external NIC IP and donīt forget to create a reverse DNS entry. Otherwise this may cause you problems with some other mail servers.

Paulo Oliveira.
