mcreams99 -> Moving ISA to new server, can't shut down old server (26.Jun.2008 11:55:28 AM)
|
I have migrated my win2k/ISA server to a new Win2k3 server and my configuration is finished. Only now when I turn off my old server some users cannot browse the internet and most users lose pop3/smtp email access. I have changed all the users PCs whether they are webclients or firewall clients and I have reinstalled the proxy client. I have checked network settings, proxy settings, registry enties all to no avail. Here is a scenario: I have the client changed over to the new server, pointing the web proxy settings to new server, IP gateway to new server, routing table looks good, reinstalled the MSP. If I turn off the firewall service on the old server, I cannot even telnet into my pop3/smtp server on the outside of my network. For some reason, my old ISA server is passing pop3/smtp traffic and my new server is blocking it. I have compared all my settings between the two servers and they are identical. This server is behind another hardware firewall so I just want ISA to pass ALL traffic. I just use the logs for reporting purposes. (and no, the hardware firewall is not a factor) Anyone have any ideas? I am at the end of my rope. Thanks in advance.
