Hi All,

I'd like to allow a select computers group to use the PPTP protocol so they can access a 3rd party vpn not configured with ISA at all. I've tried to allow that protocol under VPN Protocols, but it doesn't work.I have created a domain address list consisting of the domain's to connect to and included that in the rule. I'm guessing I have to use a special vpn function of the firewall, not rules? If so, how might I do this?

Pete

Is this outbound access through the ISA firewall?

Yes, outbound

OK got it.

Since the PPTP client isn't a Winsock client, you can't use user/group based access rules. You'll have to limit outbound access to PPTP to a collection of IP addresses that you want to allow.

HTH,
Tom
