I'm hoping to allow a machine that's behind our ISA to go out to SharedView servers so that it can share the desktop w/ out of house consultants. The machine does not have access to anything other than a few trusted sites right now via custom rules in ISA. I'd like to know if SharedView uses a fairly small range of IPs.

I've found from monitoring sessions that it talks on 443 to the following IPs:

65.55.26.46
65.55.26.47
65.54.152.123
65.54.186.19

65.55.112.52
65.54.186.107

(the first two seem to be the most hit)

These are all in the MS block, but I'd like to keep w/ the minimal permissions SOP and not make the rule saying "Allow [PC1] to [MS IP Block] on [HTTPS]"

- Anybody using SharedView through ISA seen different IPs?

- Anybody have a better way than IP based?

FYI: SharedView tries to talk on 8000 as well, but even w/ my ISA blocking traffic on that port, SharedView has worked great.

Thanks for your time and help.

Never heard of it. Where can we get more information on SharedView?

Thanks!
Tom

I read about it in TechNet Mag.

Here's the blurb from the download page:

Microsoft SharedView
Brief Description
Connect with up to 15 people in different locations and get your point across by showing them what's on your screen. Share, review, and update documents with multiple people in real time.A Windows Live ID (Passport, Hotmail, or MSN) is required to start sessions, but not to join sessions. New in version 1.0: we have added a web based join experience to make SharedView even easier.

It's an MS app. Similar to GoToMeeting. You can share your whole desktop or individual apps.
