Hi

I am trying to setup my sbs server to allow clients to up and download from FTP servers.My SBS has 1 NIC that is pointing to our ext gateway.

I have created a protocol rule to allow FTP / FTP download and FTP server.
I have created IP packet filters for FTP in and outbound traffic on remote port 20 and 21 with IP protocol TCP. FTP access filter is enabled.

Now when I try to FTP from a client via IE6.0 I get FTP folder error: connection with server has been reinitiated
When I try FTP via prompt I get connection was closed by external host.

When I go straight out via out gateway on the client I can FTP without problems.

Any ideas?

hi why you don't try to use ISA SERVER 2004 or 2006 its would be easy for you to allow ftp upload and download

So what is the advised upgrade path? Can I just download it from Microsoft or do we need to purchase a new version.

We are currently using MS ISA Server 2000 SP2.
