Dear all
i installed ISA Server recently and for some reasons i created a rule for all users internet access:
Allow - all outbound protocols - internal - external - all users

and confige proxy address for all IE and everythings ok. all users can see all web sites without any problems.BUT i can't download any file via Downnload managers such as FlashGet. when it try to download alert a message indicate " connot resolve host name" what's problem? please some one help me.

Note: local DNS is on Domain Controller and there is a rule for this:
allow- DNS,DNS Server- Local DNS Server(192.168.1.1)- external- all users

Hi,

So you are only having problem with Downloading Programs, such as you said Flash Get ? How about if you didnt use any software for downloading ?

Dear elmajdal

i tried download via InstantGet same as flashget i can't download anything. for this problem i installed firewall client on my pc ,not only my problem doesn't solve otherwise firewall client automatically goes disable for authentication problem.

Please help me

Ok, but you have not answered my question, are you able to download if you didnt use any Downloaders ?

This means there is an authentication issue , are ISA Server and the Clients joined to the same domain ?

Hi,

is your internal DNS server forwarding the requests to an external DNS server?

How�s is configured the DNS on your ISA NICs?

Dear friends

i have problen with clients that do not joined to domain. their IP Configuration is:

IP Address: 192.168.1.x
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.13
DNS Server : 192.168.1.1

and i created a rule that is: Allow - All outboand traffic - Internal - External - All Users.

with this configuration those clients(aren't joined to domain) cannot download any file with any download manager.

Install the Firewall Client on the Client. Download managers cannot properly deal with the Web Proxy Service (even when they claim they can).
