Windows mobile devices work fine. OWA works fine. I have been through Dr. Shinder's guides and rebuilt IIS, CA, etc... to no avail When looking at the W3SVC logs on the Exchange server = no data When looking at the Web logs on ISA = one line connection attempts Here is a capture from the external side of ISA - Any help would be greatly appreciated 1 0.000000 32.173.182.112 172.16.0.2 TCP 49386 > https [SYN] Seq=0 Len=0 MSS=1410 TSV=441691361 TSER=0 2 0.000052 172.16.0.2 32.173.182.112 TCP https > 49386 [SYN, ACK] Seq=0 Ack=1 Win=16920 Len=0 MSS=1460 TSV=0 TSER=0 3 0.393989 32.173.182.112 172.16.0.2 TCP 49386 > https [ACK] Seq=1 Ack=1 Win=65535 Len=0 TSV=441691365 TSER=0 4 0.432152 32.173.182.112 172.16.0.2 TLSv1 Client Hello 5 0.434648 172.16.0.2 32.173.182.112 TCP [TCP segment of a reassembled PDU] 6 0.435021 172.16.0.2 32.173.182.112 TLSv1 Server Hello, Certificate, Server Hello Done 7 1.635862 32.173.182.112 172.16.0.2 TCP 49386 > https [ACK] Seq=67 Ack=1399 Win=65535 Len=0 TSV=441691371 TSER=42356173 8 1.636323 32.173.182.112 172.16.0.2 TCP 49386 > https [ACK] Seq=67 Ack=1507 Win=65535 Len=0 TSV=441691372 TSER=42356173 9 1.874240 32.173.182.112 172.16.0.2 TLSv1 Client Key Exchange 10 1.875190 32.173.182.112 172.16.0.2 TLSv1 Change Cipher Spec 11 1.875277 172.16.0.2 32.173.182.112 TCP https > 49386 [ACK] Seq=1507 Ack=212 Win=16709 Len=0 TSV=42356187 TSER=441691373 12 1.892220 32.173.182.112 172.16.0.2 TLSv1 Encrypted Handshake Message 13 1.892712 172.16.0.2 32.173.182.112 TLSv1 Change Cipher Spec, Encrypted Handshake Message 14 2.293821 32.173.182.112 172.16.0.2 TCP 49386 > https [ACK] Seq=249 Ack=1550 Win=65535 Len=0 TSV=441691384 TSER=42356187 15 2.416564 32.173.182.112 172.16.0.2 TLSv1 Application Data 16 2.416804 172.16.0.2 32.173.182.112 TLSv1 Application Data, Application Data 17 2.818694 32.173.182.112 172.16.0.2 TCP 49386 > https [ACK] Seq=564 Ack=1816 Win=65535 Len=0 TSV=441691389 TSER=42356193 18 2.851739 32.173.182.112 172.16.0.2 TLSv1 Encrypted Alert 19 2.951872 32.173.182.112 172.16.0.2 TCP 49386 > https [FIN, ACK] Seq=587 Ack=1816 Win=65535 Len=0 TSV=441691389 TSER=42356193 20 2.951917 172.16.0.2 32.173.182.112 TCP https > 49386 [ACK] Seq=1816 Ack=588 Win=16334 Len=0 TSV=42356198 TSER=441691389 21 2.952039 172.16.0.2 32.173.182.112 TCP https > 49386 [FIN, ACK] Seq=1816 Ack=588 Win=16334 Len=0 TSV=42356198 TSER=441691389 22 2.954515 32.173.182.112 172.16.0.2 TCP 49387 > https [SYN] Seq=0 Len=0 MSS=1410 TSV=441691390 TSER=0 Etc...

Found the answer: Basically, the ISA 2000 firewall server filters the Activesync headers and doesn’t forward all necessary data to the iPhone. The fix for ISA 2000 requires BOTH the latest ISA service pack and a registry change to allow all the communcations options to be passed via Activesync: Once the ISA 2000 Service Pack is installed, set the registry key DWORD HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\W3Proxy\Parameters\PassOPTIONSToPublishedServer - Data value to 1, and reboot the ISA server.
