PS...

anyone know how to fix this double-post issue?

Only happens when I post via my ISA...

Are the clients configured as Web proxy clients, and if so, how exactly?

Thanks!
Tom

netsh winhttp proxy (on 2008 svr) or proxycfg.exe (on 2003 svr) were used to set the WinHttpSettings
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\
SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Connections\WinHttpSettings

rightly or wrongly - Im still trying to concerntrate on working out what is different when a .psf file is requested and fails as opposed to a .cab which will succeed. The ability to download the .cab would suggest the client is correctly talking to the ISA when it requests those files from windowsupdate.

Many thanks,
Dan

We had exactly the same errors messages when Windows Update entered the 'downloading' phase. I finally disabled the default cache rule for Microsoft update sites and created a new cache rule but without enabling 'Enable caching of content received through the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS)' (advanced tab)

This is on TMG2010 by the way, I'm not sure if the option is the same on ISA.

Afterwards the updates downloaded and installed fine.

Hope this helps someone.

Cheers,
Enrico
