Travelcard -> Block Internet for PCs in specific OU (27.Nov.2008 4:14:10 AM)

Hi there,
I work in a school. All our classrooms are listed in seperate OUs in Active Directory.

I can't find any way to disable access to certain OU's  - can this not be done?

I can only find ways to block IP ranges or users.

Thanks.

You are right.

Users & IPs.

Wow, thought I was.

Isn't that an absolute disgrace? ISA has been out for so many years now and it is still relatively worthless without very expensive add-ons.

What a nightmare...

Really? Worthless against what example?

Yes, really, worthless.

It "only" works as a very good firewall, but to be honest the basics that people expect, and have been asking for for years have never materialised.

For example the site blocking really is terrible, you cannot block a URL that contains the word 'porn' for instance. You have pay a third party a couple of grand a year to do that. Why?

The lack of AD integration as shown by my first post is unbelievable at this stage of the product's development - you might expect that in version 1 - but not nearly a decade after the first release.

Are these features you require supplied by any other brand?

Can you tell me why that is in any way relevant?
