Hello,
I have a client that is purchasing SBS 2008.  They have a hardware firewall but would like to use ISA 2006 as well.  I have always just used a hardware firewall an external email filtering.

1. Does ISA 2006 run on the additional server 2008 license they will get with the premium addition
2. Is there documentation I could utilize for this deployment.  I would assume Port forward from hardware device to ISA and publish.
3. Blackberry server willl also be involved
4. They would like to put yet another mail filtering appliance such as a barricuda that filters spam so this would have to be in front of the ISA appliance.  Would it work.

Sorry for so many questions but I am new to ISA.  Thanks

1. As per http://www.microsoft.com/sbs/en/us/editions-overview.aspx the SBS 2008 doesnt comes with TMG (next version of ISA), but you can still install ISA server on a seperate Windows 2003 std/ent edition as a memeber server of SBS 2008

2. If you can write in specific what you want to publish may be we can guide you better

3. Need some more details on what u want to do with blackberry
4. The best place i can recommend is in front of Mail Servers. ISA is a firewall so typically the only appliances which should be in front of ISA are routers and other firewalls

Thanks
1. I want to publish OWA, OMA and HTTP over RPC.
2. Blackberry will be used for mail access as well.  We will have a BES server on site
3. The Barricuda is a junk and content filtering appliance that in other deployments has taken the first hand off from the firewall and then uses IP to forward to mail server.  I am wondering if ISA will handle that

Thanks let me know if you need further details.

1. Publishing http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/Publishing-Exchange-2007-OWA-Exchange-ActiveSync-RPCHTTP-using-2006-ISA-Firewall-Part1.html

Publishing RPC over HTTPs http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb794854.aspx

Publish Active Sync http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb331961.aspx

2. Check for some content online for BlackBerry access
3. I would still recommend this to be in front of Mail Server. best is to check for their installation of the software behind a firewall.
