Hi,

We're developing a back-end to an application that will present a SOAP service handling XML data. The service will be available to the public internet, and authentication data (and all other data) will be passed from the front-end via HTTPS.

I want to use ISA Server 2004 to secure this. I understand how to setup a web listener and firewall rule for this but I am confused as to how authentication should be handled. Is it possible for the ISA server to handle the authentication on behalf of the SOAP service, whilst being transparent to the client? If so are there any guides surrounding this out there or does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Richard
