I wasn't aware that Chicken Little got re-released..?
This is truly amazing... You guys obviously aren't reading his posts clearly: 1. Globally-visible MAC addressing?!? 2. Ethernet routing?!? 3. IP ports?!? 4. Impersonate you using your NIC driver?!? 5. Heirarchical Ethernet?!? Since when do you feel the need to even try to have an intelligent network threat discussion with anyone who thinks any of the above is correct?
To the question of kernel-mode drivers... If SillyPuppyEnthusiast has half the clue he seems to think he does (although ultimately fails to express in any meaningful way), he'd realize that kernel-mode drivers are written to serve performance more than anything else. No one argues that kernel-mode code has "root" on the system, but SPE has ultimately failed to produce anything more than (silly) theoretical noise that has managed to spin up quite a few responses (he must be feeling pretty self-satisfied by now).
..wow; and Infiniband with IPv6 answers your kernel-mode driver virus from hell .. how, exactly? There will still be hardware and device drivers for them.
SillyPuppyE, you need to go back and finish your basic Network+/A+/MacEnthusiast classes and maybe; just maybe, you might have gained some small bit of a hint of a suggestion of a clue about how things work and perhaps even glimpsed the last fleeting dust mote of a real network threat.
Personal I was just trying to make it spit if spe is: - a complete moron - has some mental health issues - just pretending to be one of the above - or all of them (I'm terrible sorry if spe got me wrong)
It was quite fun till now, so why we would we stop!
We passed the kernel mode drivers phase, the Layer 2 thing, Ethernet was broken, nobody is listen to me syndrome, unsuccessful personal attacks, some experts/admins are bad and manipulate the Internet, isaserver.org is misleading people, ISA on a PC, deploy ISA to protect something was not design to protect... What's next ?
Just what exactly is ISA Server protecting? I think, or I might even state that I know, that ISA Server is actually developed by a bunch of people that have no idea about attacks that occur at Layer 2, or more specifically at this evil Ethernet hierarchy layer.
Why does Ethernet have to be hierarchical? In fact, why is there a concept of hierarchical routing in IPv6? Networking must be based on point-to-point OSPF based routing that addresses GPS-based destinations. InfiniBand is made just for this purpose, although we have yet to see GPS being incorporated into IPv6.
If you have kids that you're robbing, or if there are someone else's kids that you're robbing, back off right now before you're exposed even more.

Ha, I see that spe already made a wish list on this forum.....
Please note that spe already flooded other Microsoft related user groups/forums with the "InfiniBand" thing, design flaws, and Vista security "tips", so don't wonder too much why spe is present here too....

This proves my point. Either you're completely unaware of the fact that the real threat is not from the Internet, its from the Ethernet underworld, or you're acting dumb.
How about you posting the corresponding MAC address of your interface: 216.249.33.234
I guess you're just acting dumb. I'm pretty sure by now that you're one of those people that traverses through this Ethernet underworld robbing kids, or manipulating young school girls into having sex with you.
ISA Server may be bullet proof on the Internet, but its helpless against threats that target your Ethernet interface. Essentially, ISA Server is not protecting anything.
You sir, are a cad and an ignoranus. I challenge you to a gentlemanly duel at dawn. Pistols shall be supplied. Central Park, 6am Saturday 7th February 2009
Honestly, you need to do as Jim Harrison said and go back to school and learn about what you have no clue about!!!
And you couldn't find my MAC address from my IP?? That's scriptkiddie stuff.
Well, I'm not going to bother to find your MAC address from your IP Address. If you were a "gentleman" you would publish your MAC address along with your IP Address, in other words, connect to the Internet using IPv6.
I'm not going to take that amount of trouble to find you, there's just too many of you.
My ISP is so apprehensive about the number of people that would get into trouble, they won't give me IPv6 connectivity to the Internet.
I don't think your name is SteveMoffat, I think you all are a bunch of women using false names and you just want to get in my hair with your anecdotal responses.
I have enough technological know-how to blast your evil hierarchical empire way out of the sky.

You're right; Steve's name is Supercali Fraglilistic Expialidocious. Mine really is JimmyJoeBob Alooba (they're all silent). Yours is undoubtedly real; I find lots of SPEnthusiast entries in any given phone book.
This is fun; please continue. Even my wife couldn't believe there was someone willing to publicly debase themselves without large monetary gain.
Well, SPEnthusiast is not my real name, and anyone would know that. And it's short for "SharePoint Enthusiast". I love to work with Microsoft's SharePoint product. It's great for collaboration, managing site hierarchies through site templating, content management, etc. This was all before I figured out there are lots of people impersonating me on those networks through this Ethernet device driver backdoor. Now, I'm focusing on other things. There's no money to be acquired if people are impersonating me that way, I got robbed of the real money I made.
Some of you that have responded, including you, have names that look real on print, but is not so real, since they're not your real names.
And there are scores of women out there that I've rejected and that are largely driven by vengeance towards me. So, I get robbed at every turn even on the street, public transit, etc. If the planet is rid of Ethernet, and if the Internet is enhanced the way I would want it done, I wouldn't be robbed like this.

<insert Twilight Zone theme>
Ah - so now we come to the crux of the biscuit.
It's not the Ethernet that threatens you, it's the breathing women on the busses and streets that reject your advances when you're wearing either your "where the #$^& is my medication?!?" or the "Even the prison guards are afraid of me" t-shirts?
Have you tried approaching women who are of legal age and not part of your immediate family?
