Hi,
This might be not the proper place to post this inquiry.  But, as there are those beautiful and experienced moderators around, I hope they can attend this inquiry.
I have been in IT field for the past 5 years, mainly in networking.
I have been working with DCs, ISA, Exchange and Citrix.  I could say that I have a fair background of networking.
Now, assuming that there is an academic degree for network security from Microsoft perspective, what would the courses of that degree be?

I hope someone out there could help.

Thanks
Yba

Hi,

I believe you mean MCSA:Security which stands for Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator , specialized in Security.

In total it requires 5 Exams. 4 for the MCSA and 1 for the MCSA:Security certificate.

Check more details here : MCSA: Security on Windows Server 2003 Certification Requirements

Tarek,
Thanks a lot for attending my inquiry.
Well, I was not specifically talking about Microsoft certification programs.  My question was from another point.  Let me rephrase please:
Assume I want to master network security on Microsoft platforms.  First, I will have to master networks and then how to make them secure, and again, all on Microsoft systems.  My question is: what are the books I will have to read, understand and master so that I can fulfil my ambition.  Later on, I beleive, MCSA, or even MCSE would look like a bonus for me.

Thanks
Yba

System Center Configuration Manager 2007 (SCCM) – Server Management

System Center Operations Manager 2007 (SCOM) – Platform Monitoring

Windows Server Group Policy Home

Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP®)
