need help with publishing Exchange 2007 POP3 and SMTP on ISA Server 2006.

How can I enable SMTP authentication on published SMTP on ISA? remote users are using outlook 2007.

When outlook settings on Outgoing server is set to "logon to incoming server before sending" remote users can send messages to internal domain but sending to internet domains dont work with "550 5.7.1 Unable to relay" error message.

When settings is changed to "use the same settings as my incoming mail server" error message is "550 5.7.1 Client does not have permission to send as this sender".

this same settings works on local users who are still using smtp and pop3 to access their emails.

thank you.

ISA does not authenticate users in Tunnel mode. Are you sure its the ISA which is denying the access?
