Hi

1) Its not the client--same problem testing from three different workstations from three different locations

2)I connect through VPN to new SBS 2003 Standard server that I put ISA 2000 on... I can RDP into the server no problem and the RDP doesn't break. What breaks is the RDP that I make to the client machines on the LAN. The RDP sessions last from 2-10 minutes. The VPN doesn't seem to break..

3) I have two NIC cards in the SBS 2003 server

4) Some observations-
a) when i do an ipconfig/all on the remote machine (laptop) that I'm using to remote into the system I notice that there isn't a gatway set in the TCPIP settings... The DNS is comming over from the settings on the internal nic fine except that the gatway set for vpn client is the same as the IP address the RRAS assigned it... weird? Note:-- Actually the interal nic doesn't have a gateway set..only the external nic has the gatway set...I don't think this would be a problem tough
b) RDP to sever itself...never drops
c) In Routing and Remote Access-->IP Routing--> General--> The interfaces are listed.. "North", "South"...which are my nics..then a loopback.. and then One called "Internal" with the first IP address in the list that I supplied that the RRAS is supposed to assign to the VPN clients...what's that all about

Hey Dan, I was wondering if you ever found a solutions to this RDP issue? I'm not using a VPN but am still having a problem getting RDP to pass thru Win2k3/ISA 2000 combo. It works fine on Win2k/ISA2000 server though.

Why are you still running ISA 2000 on the SBS Server?

Hi, Some guys have a similar scenario:

Instead:

1. Sbs 2003 standar on Machine 1 / With one NIC
2. 2K3 SP1 with ISA 2000 3.0.1200.365 SP2 on Machine 2 / With two NICS

VPN to ISA / ok
RDP over VPN to ISA or Lan Workstation Failed, never could be stablished
RDP directly to public ISA IP OK

Any thoughts?

Should first of all install 2K3 SP2 on ISA server?
