What is the proper way to configure the NICS on my ISA server and my exchange boxes if I want to use my ISA box ONLY to publish OWA.  I do not want it to be the firewall for my entire network.

I have Exchange 2003 working with the front end back scenario (no security really) with DNS resolving both inside and outside properly to wm.contoso.com for Webmail.

I am going to transition to Exchange 2007.  I have looked at these articles to do it:

http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Transitioning-Exchange-2000-2003-Exchange-Server-2007-Part1.html
http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Installing-Configuring-Testing-Exchange-2007-Cluster-Continuous-Replication-Based-Mailbox-Server-Part1.html

And I have read these articles to get an idea of how to publish OWA
http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Publishing-Exchange-2007-OWA-ISA-Server-2006.html
http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/Publishing-Exchange-2007-OWA-Exchange-ActiveSync-RPCHTTP-using-2006-ISA-Firewall-Part1.html

I just want to know how to configure the NICS......Gateway, DNS, etc. IP adresses.  I have a nice network diagram that I could provide to give a better understanding of how I have my test network set up now and what I plan to have it look like after the transition to Exchange 2007

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance

Put up the network diagram and we'll see that you get the right config on the firewall's NICs.

Thanks!
Tom

After I looked around the forum, I realized that I posted this in the wrong area so I re-posted in the Exchange Publishing section.   Jason Jones answered me in there and I think I am taken care of for this question.

However, now that you mention putting the diagram up for you to see, how do I do that.  It is a jpeg but I don't see an option to attach files.

For posting diagrams, you can use a blog site or an image upload site. You're right that there isn't such functinality here.

Thanks!
Tom
