We have been doing a lot of different ISA machine builds and it would be useful to be able to quickly, and consistently, document the configurations at a known-good point in time. The exports/backups contain the detail required - but require a fair bit of to-ing and fro-ing on ascertaing storage ref string meanings, etc.
Is there some software - or even part of ISA ( apart from the GUI - I'd like to be able to document a bit more concisely than using a long stream of screen shots if possible ) that enables an ISA server 2006-aware breakdown of the various configured components of an implementation ( singular or arrayed )?

Hi Simon,
I would suggest that you install the ISA Best Practices Analyzer. You can download that tool at http://www.isabpa.com/.
After you have installed the utility, run the 'ISA Data Packager' tool. Select the option to 'collect static configuration information'.
Once the collection is complete the tool creates a .cab file and places it on your desktop. Open the .cab file and extract the .xml file called 'isainfo_<hostname>'. You can use Jim Harrison's ISA Info Viewer utility to read this xml file. You can find this tool at http://www.isatools.org/tools/isainfo.zip.
