Hi, I have install ISA 2004 management consol on my windows xp computer. I try to search the log and copy the result to the clipboard and paste in Microsoft Excel. But sometime, when I found the result in the log and I try to click on the link Copy All Result to Clipboard, I can't copy it because it display the message: A failure occurred. The task was not activate. And when I click on the detail button in this error dialog box I found I found: Error: 0x8000ffff Catastrophic failure. Please let me know what is the cause of the problem and how could I solve it? Thank in advance, Kanel

That error normally indicates some form of corruption in the rules. Try exporting the rules individually to try and find the offending rule/object; you should get an error during the export... Cheers JJ

You will need to delete and recreate the rule or object. If you cannot do this, you may need to contact Microsoft Support for assistance... Cheers JJ
