Hi Guys,

This topic has been brought up a few times when i did a search but for older versions of ISA.

We have a identity management solution that syncs back into AD, the problem is when a account is created, it is created with the tick box "user must change password at next login". When the user goes to log into our ISA reverse proxied website via the FBA they are denied. The ISA servers are enterprise 2006 in an array. Non domain members and located in the DMZ.

We have successfully setup LDAPs and can use the change password ability of the FBA but not when that box is ticked in AD.

Has anyone had a similar expereince and possibly a work around? Or finally convinced Microsoft this would be something worth implementing?

Hi Chris,

There have been quite a few hotfixes for password management since SP1 as some changes were made in the default behaviour, especially when using LDAP auth.

Have a look through them here:

They are cumulative, so the latest hotfix package will include all previous fixes...

Hi Jason.

Thanks for the tip. I had been through a couple of the hotfixes previously but had not found anything. As per your suggestion I went back through them again and opened the search criteria to isa server 2006. Found this one:

I have now applied the patch but I still cannot login when account is set to change password on next login.

I'm in the process of re-creating the OWA rules setup.

Anyone else have any ideas?
