We have started seeing problems with IE8 and Outloo 2003 and 2007 hanging when trying to render certain content. We have ISA Server 2004 set up on our SBS server to allow general web access to certain authenticated users.

An examination of the ISA logs shows that when this problem occursISA server is blocking numerous anonymous HTTP rewuests to sites that are ancillary to the primary request, no doubt from links to various advertising and web statistics sites embedded in the primary content. There is nothing new in this and is not normally a problem. It is only recently, perhaps as the result of a Microsoft update or something, that the applications have been hanging up like this.

A particular problem is that we have hired a new high level manager who likes to access his AOL email account from the office, and he occasiolaly experiences a hang of his whole XP desktop which requires a hard restart of the system to resolve.

I'm not sure how to deal with this proble. I'm nt in a position to simply tell the fellow to stop using AOL without taking a lot of flak, and I would like to preserve the authenticated access only policy.

Any ideas?
