Hi,

i am a system administrator. i m new in ISA. can someone tell me how to open a port for 10000 ( for Backup exec).

Whare from? Where to? Inbound or outbound? How is your ISA configured? What is the relationship between two networks (NAT or Route)?

Please provide some more details, then maybe we can help...The information you provided is not enough.

Hi,

Thanks for reply, i have a backupex server ( backup server ) . and one ISA SERVER. i wanna to take backup of ISA from the backup ex third party software. Backupex required 10000-10025 port for communicate thier agent which is installed on ISA . both are on same site. so i have created a porotocol and a rule but i did not get sucess. so please can you tell me the process in depth.

That's not the recommended way to backup/restore Firewalls. ISA being a firewall you should not try backing it up as you backup any other server.

Try this instead, http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/Backing_up_ISA_Server_configuration__The_easy_way.html

You need to capture the configuration from ISA and restore it using the same backup whenever needed
