We have our ISA 2006 servers prompting for NTLM  on the 'outside' and then use Kerberos Delegation for the 'inside' hop and out users do not get a prompt for credentials.

This requires changes to the client browser so that it will automatically supply the current credentials so I'm not sure if that's possible in your environment.

Yes, there are several methods depending on the level of transparency you require and the types of users who will be accessing MOSS.

The most common deployment involves the use of ISA Server Forms Based Authentication (also called HTML forms) combined with NTLM delegation.

The method described by Clint is a more advanced approach for clients that can provide Windows authentication to ISA directly, rather than use a web form.

What are you trying to achieve and who/where will the external users be?

Cheers

Hi,
Thanks for the responses. So, with my scenario ive got a web publishing rule, thats uses FBA with NTLM authentication. All users are internal and are logged into an AD domain. Therfore I should be able to change browser settings to log in with current username and password? correct?
thanks

If all users are internal and you want them to pre-auth with ISA, you can use Clint's method.

This is more secure that allowing NTLM auth direct to SharePoint...alternatively you can  bypasss ISA and go direct to SharePoint...

Cheers

Thanks for the response. Yes I think i need to use Clints method, any pointers on how to get it configured as such? so that internal users are pre-authenticated with ISA.
cheers.
