What is the relationship to TMG 2010 and the Exchange 2010 Edge product (is it a standalone product?). I want the functionality I used to have with ISA Server 2006, PLUS I want to run DirectAccess using W2K8R2 Server and Win7 clients. What products would I need to purchase to accomplish that?

TMG now integrates with Exchange 2010 by supporting the installation of the Exchange Edge Transport role directly on the TMG host. You can install Forefront Protection for Exchange as well, and manage both from the native TMG management console. Of course you can still publish an SMTP server as you did before, but this new integration mode provides unrivaled protection - even more so than the old message screener did back in ISA 2004.

Not only Exchange Edge, but also Forefront Protection for Exchange -- so you get anti-malware for email as well.
