we have two internal webservers, lets say ip address

192.168.1.1
192.168.1.2

we have two internal intranet sites with the above ip addresses.

Currently

Intranet.local = 192.168.1.1

I want to change it so that if you type Intranet.local/department  it will then publish the webserver 192.168.1.2

is it possible for the rules in isa to publish another internal server from detecting a new subdirectory on the same domain.

so basically.

intranet.local  -> 192.168.1.1

intranet.local/department -> 192.168.1.2

So as you can see, need isa to recognize in the host header that there is subdirectory there, and then forward it to a different internal server.

If this is not possible with our isa server, then any other suggestions on how to do this would be most helpful.

Remember I cannot change the internal domain or add a subdomain, I want to keep it to intranet.local.

Thanks!

Bod.

maybe not!  seems to be about redirecting to a subdomain, I need the whole fqdn to stay the same.

Hi,

I think this is what you´re looking for:
quote:

Another thing you can do with path statements is redirect to different servers based on a path statement. For example, take the following URLs:
  • www.msfirewall.org/scripts
  • www.msfirewall.org/articles
  • www.msfirewall.org/ids-ips

All three URLs point to the same FQDN and only differ from in the path. You can create three Web Publishing Rules, each one using the same Public Name and each one including a different path configuration and a different server on the To tab. When a users makes a request using one of these three URLs, the request will be forwarded to the appropriate server based on the settings on the Public Name, Paths and To tabs.
